The woman is a ghostly apparition found in the abandoned booth in the Fifth Eye. She is a spirit trapped in the Ninth World, a survivor (if that's the right term) of the catastrophe that was the Tabaht invasion. Though repulsed by the defenders, the woman was wounded by a poisoned weapon, eventually succumbing to death - but her spirit remained trapped.
