Background

This young woman clutches herself and growls, low and continuously, under her breath. Pearly white light shimmers from a vial on her wrist, and her eyes are red-rimmed, as if she's been crying.

You've never seen her before, and yet... your hands are sweating, and your breath catches in your inherited chest. Shame burns your throat, hot and sour.

Your body recognizes her, even if you do not.
