|“||You've come to me and you don't know who I am? I'm Tol Maguur, one of the few licensed slavers around here. Criminals, outcasts, the unwanted - I take the dregs of society and turn them into something useful.||„|
Tol Maguur is a character in Torment: Tides of Numenera.
Background[edit | edit source]
As you approach, the wild-haired woman eyes you speculatively and whispers something to her companions. They burst out laughing, and a slight smirk plays about her lips. A breathing mask dangles from a cord around her neck, and you can see where it has cut permanent grooves into her face.
Like you, Tol Maguur is a castoff, affected deeply by the Tides raging within her. Rhin is someone who helps her control them, keeps them from slipping out into the world. She also loves Rhin, as strange as it may sound, and will do anything to both get her back and protect her.
Notably, Maguur does not believe in being defined by her status as a castoff. She is what she is: A slaver. She chose this life as it's easy... And gives her the opportunity to set things to rights, by giving criminals and other burdens to society a chance to redefine themselves... If they live.
