Grazions are one of 2 intelligent sound races native to the Tumult.

Appearance and traits[edit | edit source]

Grazions will usually manifest as sounds with long, resonant tones that possess an intrinsic inner beauty and confidence.[1]

Society and Culture[edit | edit source]

Grazions will usually move within groups and will constantly harmonize to create sedate, graceful music not unlike a grand orchestra. Joining in would reveal that the conversations are usually about heady philosophical musings on the nature of being, the existence of the mind, and sometimes even the danger of the scordaturns.

Grazions are very content with how things are currently handled throughout the Tumult. Considering themselves as a class of tones, they're uncomfortable with the idea of other realms of existence, and will actually exhibit various degrees of xenophobia towards other intelligent sounds that claim to be from another reality. Such claims are usually met with tolerant amusement at best and xenophobic violence at worst.

They tend to claim the resonance islands around the Tumult, creating gardens of soothing, regular sound. The wild chimes, interrogatory trills, and staccato beats of "wild" resonance islands (specifically of the sort that scordaturns would prefer) are absent within areas where grazions dwell.

The bulk of the grazion population can be found amidst a series of linked resonance islands known as Symphony. It's large enough to even host a small concentration of scordaturns who wish to bridge the divide between the 2 groups.[2]
